Synopsis by Janiss Garza

For unknown reasons, comedian Lew Fields (in one of his frequent outings sans partner Joe Weber) agreed to work on this picture, which is heavy on sentiment, but light-to-nonexistent on funny stuff. After getting tangled up with a group of anarchists, professor Leo Fielding (Fields) is forced to flee to America. Although he has been told that his little daughter Dulcine (Mabel Bardine) was lost at sea, she has actually been brought to America by Count deGrasse (James Harris). In spite of his fancy title, the Count has no money and becomes a circus performer, and he soon puts Dulcine to work as an acrobat. The professor doesn't do any better financially and eventually he winds up as a barker for the same circus. He becomes fast friends with Dulcine without realizing who she is. The evil circus manager tries to kill Dulcine by soaking the net in acid, but the Count falls through it instead. As he is dying he reveals Dulcine's identity. Father and daughter are reunited, and she also marries the owner of the circus, Wilfred Wells (Pat O'Malley).
