Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Margot (Betty Hart) is the pawn in a game set up by her father, "Old Bill" Prewitt (Edward Alexander), and her husband, Tom Sloan (Frederick Montague). They use her to fleece gamblers until a gun fight results in serious injuries for both Tom and Bill. Bill thinks Tom is dead and takes Margot across country. He finally collapses from exhaustion and they are found by a trapper, Bruce Powell (William Clifford). Bill dies, but not before disclosing that Tom was never really married to Margot. So she and Powell are free to marry, and they live happily until Tom -- not dead after all -- shows up with some cronies and starts stirring things up among the trappers. He steals money from them, lays the blame on Powell, and threatens Margot if she exposes him. Finally Margot tricks him into falling into a large trap which already contains a puma. The beast kills him, and the stolen money is found on his dead body. Although she admits the truth about her backg round, Powell is happy enough to leave it in the past.
