synopsis
Stranded somewhere in the south, a prostitute (Sally Field) links up with punchdrunk drifter (Tommy Lee Jones). As they seek out various means of travel (at one point, they're forced to leap from a moving train into a heap o' mud), they fall in love. Director Ritt had previously directed Field's Oscar-winning performance in Norma Rae.
