synopsis
This documentary traces the creation of Jimi Hendrix's landmark album Electric Ladyland. The filmmakers utilize archival footage as well as newer interviews with bandmates, historian, and contemporaries who explain why that album continues to inspire guitarists and rock fans decades after its release. The album contains some of Hendrix's most beloved tracks including his cover of Bob Dylan's "All Along the Watchtower," "Voodo Child," and "Crosstown Traffic."
