synopsis
Released in France as Le Culte de Beaute, Arthur stars musical comedy performer Boucot. Our hero is a beauty parlor owner who is unswervingly in love with his wife Edith Mero. Thus, it's strictly "hands off" when it comes to his lovely customers. At least, this is the case until Boucot learns that Edith has been unfaithful with his best friend. In farcical retaliation, Boucot decides to pitch woo to his friend's wife. Director Leonce Perret adapted Arthur from his own stage play.
