As filmed in San Remo in late March of 1963, this release features a rarely-seen jazz concert headlined by the ensemble Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers (Blakey on drums, Reggie Workman on bass, Cedar Walton on piano and Curtis Fuller on trombone), with two special guest stars - post-bop saxophonist Wayne Shorter and hard bop trumpeter Freddie Hubbard. Selections include: "Mosaic," "That Old Feeling," "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning" and several more.
