Arnhem: Story of an Escape is listed variously as a 1971 and 1976 release. Whatever the case, it was first seen in the US in 1984, when it was picked up by the ARTS cable service. John Hallam stars in this English-Dutch co-production as a British officer in occupied Holland. Hallam makes a courageous effort to return to his own lines, dodging and evading the Nazis all the way. He reaches the Rhine at the same time that the controversial Allied foray at Arnhem is underway.
