This reality show conducted a nationwide search for "America's newest sex symbols." Over the course of six weeks, a stunning collection of gorgeous male and female contestants paraded before the cameras in brief bathing suits, while a celebrity panel assessed their sexiness on the basis of facial and body attractiveness. The first four episodes narrowed the field to 16 contestants, eight men and eight women. The finalist were selected via a viewer poll on the last episode. From the same folks responsible for The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Are You Hot? The Search for America's Sexiest People premiered on ABC with a two-hour episode on February 13, 2003.
