Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

Thirty years after meeting Anne Frank's father, a reverend from Hiroshima strives to keep the memory of the Holocaust alive by educating Japanese schoolchildren about the horrors of the past. Makoto Otsuka is a man of the cloth. Though Japanese is his first language, he speaks Hebrew fluently. Somewhere in the Japanese countryside sits a museum about the Shoah. This is where filmmaker Francois Uzan finds his subject, a holy man who has made it his mission to ensure that the children are educated, and history never repeats itself.
