Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The Greek Anna of Rhodes is no Colossus, but instead a medium-budget war drama. Lambros Constantaras plays a Greek soldier who finds it expedient to pose as a fascist when the Italians occupy his home island. In truth, the soldier is working with the underground in general and his Italian resistance-fighter girlfriend Anna (Ketty Panou) in particular. It wouldn't have been healthy to film Anna of Rhodes during the war, hence its 1950 copyright. The picture's running time was evidently pared down somewhat before it was offered to American distributors.
