Synopsis by Brian J. Dillard

As Halloween approaches, Lorne (Andy Hallett) finds himself busy with his new duties as the head of Wolfram & Hart's entertainment division. Despite some reservations, the equally overworked members of the fang gang agree to attend the huge party he's planning for their clients and employees. Unfortunately for them, Lorne hasn't slept in literally a month, causing his empathic powers to run amok. As the party kicks into high gear, Angel (David Boreanaz) and company notice that Lorne's every statement is starting to come true; the green-skinned demon is literally and unwittingly able to bend people to his will with even the most innocuous suggestion. Co-workers become drunk and disorderly without drinking. Gunn (J. August Richards) experiences an unfortunate episode of public urination. Angel and Eve (Sarah Thompson) find themselves going at it like bunnies. And Lorne's sleep-deprived bad side eventually takes physical form, resulting in a Hulk-style smackdown with Angel. Originally broadcast October 29, 2003, on the WB network, "Life of the Party" marked season 5, episode 5 of the supernatural soap opera. This episode was written by The Tick creator Ben Edlund, who joined the Angel writing team after his series was canceled.
