Synopsis by Nathan Southern
Famed German-born countertenor and Baroque music specialist Andreas Scholl is the focus of this biographical documentary portrait by co-directors Hanne Kaisik and Uli Aumüller. The film cuts back-and-forth between candid footage of Scholl attending recitals at such milieux as Kiedrich, Schwetzingen and Dresden, and one-on-one interviews in which Scholl expostulates at length on his personal and musical growth and maturation.
