synopsis
Naive but wealthy Tex Coleman (Eddie Albert) arrives in New York to be with Lydia (Rosemary Lane), his longtime sweetheart. She's working for two fast-talking producers, Mac McClure (Wayne Morris) and Marty Allen (Ronald Reagan), who hope to use Tex's money to back their new play. He's agreeable, if Lydia can play the leading role. But Mac and Marty have to contend with their planned star, Valerie Blayne (Ruth Terry), a demanding prima donna whose gangster boyfriend Pooch Davis (Milburn Stone) insists that the play open on schedule with Valerie in the lead.
