synopsis
Once again fueled by the flames of Women's Lib, Gloria is convinced that her mother Edith is being emotionally abused by Archie. Trouble is, Edith doesn't feel like a victim, and refuses to act like one. As a result, Gloria and Edith engage in a no-holds-barred argument, while the uncharacteristically speechless Archie and Mike sit on the sidelines. Written by Michael Ross and Bernie West, "The Battle of the Month" first aired on March 24, 1973, as the final episode of All in the Family's third season.
