For reasons unknown, Archie is sneaking out of the house every night. Their curiosity aroused, Mike and Gloria decide to follow Archie and find out what he is up to. The solution to the mystery is inherent in the title of this episode, which first aired on March 10, 1973. "Archie Learns His Lesson" was scripted by All in the Family story editors Michael Ross and Bernie West, from a story by John Christopher Strong III and Michael R. Stein.
