Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Escaped convict Ray Bardon (Charles Bronson) robs a gas station and kills the attendant (Ray Montgomery), then hitches a ride with a woman named Lisa (Lola Albright). Although Lisa knows that Ray is a murderer, she bypasses several opportunities to escape from him or summon the police, and even begins to help him in his flight from justice. The hard-boiled Ray is both impressed and dumbfounded by this display of devotion -- never suspecting that Lisa has an ulterior motive.
