synopsis
Alaska Passage was considered a "topical" title in 1959, inasmuch as Alaska was admitted into the union that year. Otherwise, this cost-efficient actioner could just as well have been churned out by Monogram in 1945. Bill Williams and Nick Dennis play long-haul truckers who get a bonus whenever transporting dangerous cargo over the icy terrain. Director Edward Bernds does a slick job with the driving sequences, though his dialogue scenes could use a little work. Alaska Passage was produced independently and released domestically by 20th Century-Fox.
