synopsis
Because financial setbacks force publisher Robert Lenhart (Paul Lukas) to cut costs at home as well at work, his extravagant wife Eve (Helen Vinson) is furious, although his secretary Maxine Bennett (Madge Evans), who secretly loves him, is sympathetic. Eventually, Eve leaves Robert for wealthy Felix Shaw (Ralph Forbes), forcing Robert to explain what "divorce" means to his young son Bill (David Jack Holt). When Felix's haughty mother Emma (May Robson) decides she wants a grandson, she decides to wrest Bill away from Robert by whatever means necessary.
