African Adventure (1971)

Synopsis by Hal Erickson
African Adventure is an obscure documentary film filmed in Botswana. The storyline, if indeed there is one, involves a young American who is interested in the lives of the bushmen. He tries to adapt to their ways of life, even as they become fascinated with this curious visitor. This 1971 film was not put into general release until 1973, then had to wait for TV syndication before gaining an audience. Insignificant though it may be, African Adventure might prove an interesting companion piece to a better-known film involving Botswanian bushmen, The Gods Must Be Crazy.
