synopsis
It is obvious that the stars of the French-Austrian Adorable Julia were working overtime to make the film seem better than it actually was. Lili Palmer stars as Julia, a famous actress married to stuffy Charles Boyer. Feeling as though her biological clock is running out, Julia has a brief fling with much-younger Jean Sorel. Only after this romance has run its course does Julia come to realize what a prize she has in her patient, kindly husband. Guy Bolton was among the screenwriters who adapted Adorable Julia from the play by Somerset Maugham.
