synopsis
One of the greatest classically-trained actors in the world, Sir Ian McKellen (Richard III), hosts this distinguished program from 1982, wherein he performs a number of Shakespeare's most famous and celebrated monologues on stage. He then engages in a candid series of reflections about his relationship with theater, and speaks about some of the greatest plays ever written.
