synopsis
In this short subject from Ruth Jarman and Joe Gerhardt of the artists collective Semiconductor, images of the city of Prague bend, pulsate and flicker in time to the sounds and rhythms of the town. Acousticity was initially created by Semiconductor as part of an installation for the 2006 Prague Contemporary Arts Festival, with the images accompanied by an elaborate surround-sound audio setup. The film was later exhibited in more conventional venues, and was screened as part of the "Frame By Frame" series of animated shorts at the 2007 San Francisco International Film Festival.
