Presented by BBC2, A Touch of Venus was a weekly, 20-minute anthology comprised in its entirety of one-woman monologues. A steady stream of top British actresses was seen in these loquacious playlets, which were written by such notables as Terence Rattigan, J.B. Priestley, and a talented newcomer named John Mortimer. A Touch of Venus was broadcast from 1968 to 1969.
