synopsis
One of the big hits in 1917, this epic retelling of Dicken's classic tale features exceptional production values and special effects as well as some great battle scenes as it tells the French Revolution-set tale of a pair of men who look exactly alike. Their paths cross when they discover that they have fallen in love with the same woman. Amidst the tumult of the people's uprising, one of the men makes the supreme sacrifice for love.
