Written by Eric Deacon, the now-obscure British miniseries A Statement of Affairs concerned a trio of close friends, played by Frances Barber, David Threllfall, and Adrian Dunbar. What started out as a perfect relationship quickly deteriorated into a steady progression of lies and betrayal, culminating in murder. As originally broadcast by Carlton Television in 1993, A Statement of Affairs was presented in three parts, each running one hour. Since that time, the program has been reedited and reissued as a two-parter.
