synopsis
The Naxos Musical Journey programs pair onscreen tours of famous cities and landmarks with the music that emerged from those locales. This particular volume ventures to Paris, France's eternal City of Light, for a visual survey of that metropolis's highlights, including the Eiffel Tower, the Luxemburg Gardens, Chartres Cathedral, Le Grand Palais, the Arc de Triomphe and La Brocante. The accompanying music is by Ludwig von Beethoven, whose Eroica Symphony and Coriolanus Overture light up the soundtrack.
