Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Artist Virginia Hastings (Hope Hampton) is engaged to broker Roberto Monti (Sidney L. Mason), but when they have an argument, she turns around and marries multi-millionaire James Vandan (Percy Standing). Through Vandan she indulges her love for the finer things in life and becomes popular with everyone in his circle, except for his secretary Harry Torrence (Wyndham Standing). Monti, however, turns out to be a heel who keeps coming around, and with the use of her old love letters, he extorts money from her. One day, Virginia finally refuses, and a struggle ensues. Torrence comes in and breaks it up just as Vandan arrives home. Because she is afraid of Monti, she accuses Torrence of the attack, and he is fired. After that, bad luck pursues the former secretary. His wife (Agnes Ayers), believing the allegations, leaves him, and he becomes a drunk. When he eventually encounters Virginia once again, she's plagued by guilt and sets things straight. She tells his wife that she lied and comes clean with Vandan. As a result, when Monti comes around again, Vandan throws him out of the house and, to add insult to injury, dumps him in a fountain.
