synopsis
When Bruce McLeod (Edward Coxen) returns from prospecting gold, he finds that another man has run off with his wife and child. The wife dies and the child is taken in by dance hall girl Cherie DuBois (Helen Gibson). Cherie sacrifices her job at the dance hall to keep the boy. She meets McLeod, who falls in love with her until he discovers that she has been a brazen dance hall hussy. But Cherie gets back in his good graces by revealing the identity of the card sharp who stole McLeod's wife. The two men have a brutal fight, in which McLeod emerges the victor. He forgives Cherie for her past and they end the film together.
