Synopsis by Perry Seibert

Writer and director Reza Azamian's anti-war film A Border for Life begins with a large battle during the lengthy conflict between Iran and Iraq. After the smoke clears, a severely wounded Iraqi infantryman (Ahmad Kavari) struggles to move through the numerous bodies in order to find someone who can help him. The only other living person he can find is a blinded Iranian soldier (Meysam Nayebzadeh) who is also suffering from a hearing loss because of the battle. The two overcome their mutual distrust when they realize that they must help each other in order to live.
