With the number of immigrants rising and jobs becoming less available, there is growing racial tension in Sweden. Crime is also on the rise. Malik is an immigrant and is also among the growing criminal population. A professional safecracker, he is much admired by his gang for his calm and coolness under pressure. Their opinion of him changes though after he meets and falls in love with Carmen, a foreign student who has come to study law. Carmen is accompanied by her younger brother, who seems inexorably drawn to criminal life despite her efforts to stop him. She has better luck with Malik who decides to become an honest man. But as her younger brother Rico is involved with drug smuggling and he himself is still involved with pulling heists, leaving the underworld is not a simple matter.
