Synopsis by Andrea LeVasseur
Slovak filmmaker Peter Kerekes directs the made-for-television documentary 66 Seasons. Through interviews and re-enactments, the film follows the last 66 years (1936-2002) of history at the Stará Plovárna (Old Swimming Pool) in Koice, Slovakia. Community members share personal stories about the public swimming pool from the bombing during WWII to the Russian invasion of 1968. 66 Seasons was shown in the Documentary Competition at the 2003 Karlovy Vary Film Festival.
