Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Taped at the Perth studios of Australia's Seven Network, $50,000 Letterbox was a game show along the lines of Wheel of Fortune. Each contestant answered questions to earn letters, which were then placed in a small grid. The first contestant to form a word was one step closer to the grand prize: 50,000 Australian dollars. Hosted by Paul Makin, $50,000 Letterbox was telecast from 1980 to 1981.
