Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Just when the public thought that reality TV had hit rock bottom, along came the gloriously disgusting FOX network special 101 Things Removed From the Human Body. The special delivered on the promise held forth by its title in spades, describing (and sometimes displaying) in loving detail the removal of such foreign objects as swallowed nails, ingested diamond necklaces, and imbedded live hand grenades. The messiest moments involve a boat anchor wedged in a gentleman's skull, a two-by-four shunted into a woman's face, and the "money scene" -- an emaciated man with an obscenely large tumor.
