Pedro Almodovar's classic camp comedy Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown is available on DVD through MGM Home Video. The film is presented in widescreen 1.85:1 and comes with Dolby Digital 2.0 sound. The film can be played in Castillian Spanish Mono, English Mono, and French Mono, and comes with English, Spanish, and French subtitles. The menus and scene selection screens are vibrant and colorful, but, unfortunately, the DVD offers little else. The image transfer is fair, at times registering a bit grainy, although the sound quality is fine overall. The sole special feature is limited to the theatrical trailer. Production notes and/or actor fact files would have been a definite plus.
