Tigrero: Mika Kaurismaki - A Film That Was Never Made
Description by Perry Seibert

Tigrero: A Film That Was Never Made documents director Sam Fuller as he returns with fellow filmmakers Mika Kaurismäki and Jim Jarmusch to a portion of the Amazon where Fuller had once begun work on an action film that was to star the biggest box-office attraction in America in its time, John Wayne. Although that film never happened, this documentary gives Fuller the chance to reminisce about his legendary career. The DVD release of this documentary offers a widescreen transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo. Supplemental materials include a commentary track recorded by Kaurismäki, extra interview materials edited from the finished film, and some of the footage filmed by Fuller during his initial trip to the Amazon in 1954.
