Of altogether superior quality compared to an earlier DVD transfer, this version of the '90s shocker The Silence of the Lambs comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic format (1.85:1 aspect ratio). The audio options are English (Dolby Digital 5.1), French (Dolby Digital 2.0 Stereo), and Spanish (Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono), with subtitles available in English, Spanish, and French. Special features include an outtake segment, 20 minutes of footage that did not appear in the film's original theatrical release, a "making of" documentary/featurette, cast interviews, a photo gallery of stills, and an outstanding commentary track narrated by the director and some of the cast.
