The second sequel to the original Shaft comes to DVD with a pair of transfers. The anamorphic widescreen image preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.85:1 and is preferable to the standard full-frame 1.33:1 image. English and French soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Mono. Subtitles are accessible in those two languages as well. Supplemental materials include three different theatrical trailers. Blaxploitation fans will love the disc (especially the trailers), but nothing on this disc is going to win over the uninterested.
