This dark comedy from Alfonso Arau comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1, while a Spanish soundtrack has been recorded in Dolby Digital Stereo. English subtitles are accessible as well. The generous supplemental features include an audio commentary track from the director, a "making of" featurette, interviews with the cast, a trivia game, a photo gallery, biographies and filmographies of the cast and crew, and a theatrical trailer. This film failed to get much notice in theaters, but possibly the extras and the high-powered cast will help it find an audience on DVD.
