Nights of Cabiria [Criterion Collection]

The Oscar-winning Nights of Cabiria is a {~Cannes film that comes to DVD in its original black-and-white, monaural format. The DVD version includes a video interview with former Fellini assistant Dominique Delouche, an audio interview with the producer, original and re-released theatrical trailers, a brief and blurry excerpt (in Italian) from Fellini's The White Sheik, improved English subtitle translation, optional Italian- and English-dubbed tracks, and seven minutes of never-before-seen footage. Also included is a very slow-moving featurette, alternating text and movie scenes to describe how the film was restored from the original negative. The plastic case contains a glossy three-fold piece with an intro written by the director, as well as a chapter index.
