Giulietta Masina stars in director Federico Fellini's Juliet of the Spirits. Presented in 1.66:1 non-anamorphic widescreen, this transfer appears to be a solid effort from Image Entertainment. While the picture sometimes displays a bit of softness and grain, overall this is a fairly clean print that should please fans of the film. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 1.0 Mono in Italian and is, not surprisingly, flat and very uninspired. However, since Juliet of the Spirits is not an effects-heavy action film, this mono soundtrack supports the film well without any hiss or distortion marring the mix. Also included on this disc are English subtitles. The extra features on Juliet of the Spirits are floating just at the bare minimum with two filmographies (one for Masina and a second for Fellini) and a theatrical trailer for the film.
