Colors are bold; pastel skies seem like impressionist paintings as Charlie Brown, Linus, and friends be-bop around their adult-free world. Vince Guaraldi's colorful, playful score impresses throughout, and all the audio is shockingly dynamic. Who thought Snoopy could sound so immediate? The main menu allows viewers to select either It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown or a bonus feature, You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown. The bonus feature, running 25 minutes, is an amusing look into life in grammar school and popularity contests. It compares favorably to some of the better Peanuts features and charmingly teaches young children about elections.
