Crumb
Description by Craig Chalquist

Crumb in its DVD version offers English subtitles but no other languages, Dolby 2.0 Surround Sound, one theatrical trailer, and the original 1.66:1 theatrical aspect ratio converted to widescreen letterbox format (single layering only); no other special features are included. A glossy three-page foldout inside the DVD snap case lists the chapter index, the film's awards, and its status as a cultural icon; a small-sized accompanying booklet advertises movies by Columbia TriStar Home Video but not where to order them. Because much of the film is shot by a hand-held and constantly moving video camera, the picture is correspondingly grainy and erratic and the sound quality minimal, often fading in and out depending on where the characters happen to be located at a particular time.
