Jim Jarmusch's collection of conversations Coffee and Cigarettes was two decades in the making. The feature-length film debuts on DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.78:1. The English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital 5.1., and English, Spanish, and French subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a short film called "Tabletops" that consists of shots from the film that reveal the tables over which the title items are consumed, an outtake featuring Bill Murray, and the original theatrical trailer. This is a fine presentation of a film sure to please fans of the director.
