Joel Coen's surrealist Cannes Film Festival winner Barton Fink comes to DVD with a widescreen anamorphic transfer that preserves the original theatrical aspect ratio of 1.66:1. A closed-captioned English soundtrack is rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo, while Spanish and French soundtracks have been recorded in Dolby Digital Mono. English and Spanish subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include deleted scenes, trailers, and a still-photo gallery. Barton Fink is a film full of dark shadows and this disc has done a fabulous job of capturing the original image. This is a solid release from 20th Century Fox.
