Airport 1975
Description by Bruce Eder

Goodtimes' DVD of Jack Smight's Airport 1975 is a meat-and-potatoes level release, basics done very nicely as far as they go. The image is letterboxed in the anamorphic Panavision aspect ratio of 2.35:1 and is a surprisingly strong film-to-video transfer, capturing the full beauty of the extended aerial photographic sequences depicting the 747 flying against the night and dusk skies, as well as the better special effects in their optimum state. The sound has also been mastered at a decent volume. The 106-minute movie has been given a total of 18 chapters, which is reasonably generous and breaks down the major sequences. There are no real extras apart from some biographical data (some only a single line) on some of the principal cast members.
