Drama is the name of the game in the three-hanky weepy A Rumor of Angels. MGM's work on this 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer is very concise save for a few instances of edge enhancement in the image. Otherwise this is a quality transfer that sports sharp colors, even black levels, and natural fleshtones. Also available on side B is a full-frame version of the film. The soundtrack is presented in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround in English and features a few directional effects in a scattered amount of key scenes. Happily, this soundtrack is void of any hiss or excessive distortion. Also included on this disc are English, French, and Spanish subtitles. Fans of the film will be crying their eyes out when they find out that the only extra features available on this disc are theatrical trailers for A Rumor of Angels and the Jennifer Love Hewitt comedy Heartbreakers.
