This ultra-shocker from Serbian avant-garde auteur Dusan Makavejev will serve the same purpose, weeding out mere curiosity seekers from hard-core cinephiles. It's got something to appall everyone: coprophagy, Nazi war footage, nudity, racial stereotypes, extreme female objectification and a general atmosphere of the 1960s gone gonzo -- but there are also moments of life-affirming humor, whimsy, delight and, yes, sweetness.
