biography
Czech director Vladimir Cech entered the film industry in 1947 with Nerozumim/I Don't Understand, and subsequently specialized in thrillers, adventures, and comedies. In the 1930s, Cech studied to become a doctor and then worked as a publicist before learning stage direction with E.F. Burian's experimental theater D-34. Cech worked as a film, theater, and radio critic during WWII; he also wrote radio plays. Cech directed films through 1980.
