Biography by AllMovie

A former extra, early silent screen actress Vera Sisson skyrocketed to fame opposite one of the era's great matinee idols, J. Warren Kerrigan, with whom she did a series of popular outdoor melodramas in 1915-1916. But fame proved fleeting for this brunette beauty who was demoted to playing supporting roles all too soon. Sisson, who may be seen today supporting Rudolph Valentino and Kathleen Kirkham in a restored DVD version of The Married Virgin (1918), retired from films in 1926. Her death was reportedly a suicide.
