A serial specialist, screenwriter Sol Shor was a graduate of C.C.N.Y, with a bachelor's degree from N.Y.U. He worked as a freelance writer and general manager of the Novelty Mfg. Company prior to signing with Republic Pictures in 1937. Mainly associated with B-Westerns and, especially, chapterplays, Shor's screenwriting career lasted well into the television era.
